Lugnut Charities is dedicated to supporting existing programs and creating new opportunities to benefit youth in the greater Lansing community. Since its inception in September of 1996 Lugnut Charities has contributed more than $180,000 to programs and projects in the community.

From Lugnut Fountain on the plaza of Oldsmobile Park where children cool themselves in the hot summer sun, to contributing emergency funds to Impression Five Science Center - Lugnut Charities is determined to give back to the community that has generously supported the Lugnuts.

For 2008, the Lugnuts are proud to partner with the following charitible organizations in the Lansing area: Komen for the Cure, Autism Society of Michigan, Capital Area United Way, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program. Each custom designed package has been created to maximize the impact of minor league baseball to help meet specific objectives of each organization.

Each year, Lugnut Charities Night sponsored by Dan Henry Distributing is held to celebrate the Lugnut Charities partners. In 2008, Lugnut Charities Night was held on August 22nd and included a special "Jersey off Their Back” promotion with proceeds benefiting the Capital Area United Way.

Mark your calendars now for the 2009 United Way Jersey Auction on Saturday, August 15th!
