The Verve Pipe concert to follow Lugnuts playoff game
LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Lugnuts will host a Midwest League playoff game at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, September 6th, followed by a concert featuring popular alternative rock band The Verve Pipe.
The concert is free with the purchase of a regularly priced ticket.
Tickets start at $8, available online at www.lansinglugnuts.com, via telephone at 517-485-4500, and at the Cooley Law School Stadium box office located at 505 E. Michigan Ave. in downtown Lansing.
The evening doubles as a Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursday, featuring $2 beer and soda specials.
Formed in Grand Rapids and based in East Lansing, The Verve Pipe is best known for "The Freshmen," a multi-format gold single that reached No. 5 on the Billboard 100 chart in 1997.
In their 17th season in existence, the Lansing Lugnuts own the best record in the Midwest League at 61-31, earning an invitation to the postseason by capturing the first half Eastern Division title.
The playoff game will be Game 2 in the Midwest League’s best 2-out-of-3 first round.# # #
