Brian Allan Dopirak

Played on 2003 Lugnuts Midwest League Championship team. Set franchise records in 2004 for home runs, RBI, total bases and extra bases, tying records for hits and doubles. Honored as 2004 Midwest League Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year.

At the tender age of 18, led Lugnuts with 13 wins in first professional season as full-time starter. Ascended to National League two years later. Pitched no-hitter vs. Houston on 9/14/08. Three-time All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger in the Major Leagues.
Donald Corey Patterson

3rd pick in 1998 draft starred for Lugnuts in his pro debut, batting .320 with 35 doubles, 17 triples, 20 homers and 33 steals. 1999 Midwest League Prospect of the Year. First Lugnut to hit for the cycle, 7/5/99 at South Bend. Made MLB debut with Cubs, 9/8/00.
