Lansing tried to rally back in the ninth inning, as Mike McDade laced a double into left-center field that brought Wes Stone home, cutting the lead to 4-3. Lansing tied the game up in the fourth inning when Yohermyn Chavez singled home Matt Liuzza.
The two teams traded runs in the seventh inning as the score stayed knotted up. Lansing took a 2-1 lead in the top of the frame on Tolisano's sacrifice fly, but the Quad Cities immediately evened the score in the bottom half of the frame on Domnit Bolivar's RBI double down the left field line.
