Bruback, a member of the Lugnuts in 1999 and 2000, was 9-7 with a 3.16 ERA in 28 starts for West Tenn(AA) in 2002. During his stay in Lansing, Bruback went 13-10 over the parts of two seasons and was Lansing's 2000 Opening Day starter.

Webb was a teammate of Bruback's in Lansing during the 2000 campaign and also at West Tenn in 2002. Webb, a 23-year-old righty, went 7-6 with a 2.47 ERA for the Lugnuts in 2000. That earned run average still ranks as the best ever by a Lugnut pitcher in the seven years of the franchise. Webb pitched for Daytona(A) and West Tenn in 2002 and combined to go 9-8 with 110 strikeouts in 119.1 innings of work.

Leicester and Wellemeyer both toed the rubber for Lansing in 2001. Leicester was 9-10 with a 5.29 ERA in 28 starts, while Wellemeyer went 13-9 and was the top winner on the 2001 Lansing pitching staff. Both players split time at Daytona and West Tenn in 2002 and are currently playing in the Arizona Fall League for the Mesa Solar Sox.

2002 Lugnut Sanchez rounds out the additions to the roster. He spent the entire campaign in Lansing, going 6-6 with 101 strikeouts and a 4.15 ERA during the regular season. He then earned four saves in six postseason outings in helping Lansing reach the Midwest League Championship Series.

The five Lugnut additions now give Lansing a total of 13 former players on the Chicago 40-man roster, including Corey Patterson, Hee Seop Choi, Juan Cruz and Carlos Zambrano.
