LANSING – The Lansing Lugnuts announced today that tickets for every 2008 home game, including the second annual Crosstown Showdown presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, will go on-sale this Saturday, March 22, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Until now, tickets could only be purchased as part of a group of 20 or more or within season ticket packages. While those options still remain, this will be the first time that fans can buy tickets to any individual game.
"It's always an exciting time when single game tickets go on-sale," Lugnuts General Manager Pat Day said. "Individual game tickets are a great option for fans who can't commit to a season ticket plan, who aren't coming with a group. or who just want to secure tickets to certain nights this season."
There are three levels of seating available for games: Box seats, located in the lower infield, are $9; Reserved seats, which can be found throughout the stadium, are $8; Lawn seats, located in left field, are just $7.
Tickets can be purchased at the Lugnuts box office, by phone at (517) 485-4500, or by going online to www.lansinglugnuts.com.
This year the Lugnuts will host 18 LAFCU Fireworks Nights and 14 Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursdays, to go along with many other promotions that will run throughout the season. The Lugnuts will also take on the Michigan State Spartans on April 24th in the second annual Crosstown Showdown presented by Auto-Owners Insurance.
"We have some pretty exciting promotions this year, and tickets for the most popular nights typically sell pretty fast," Day said. "I would suggest getting tickets for those nights early to make sure that you have the best seats possible."
The Lugnuts start the 2008 season on the road, but return to Oldsmobile Park for their home opener on April 7 against the South Bend Silver Hawks. A complete schedule of games and promotions for the 2008 season can be found on the team's website, www.lansinglugnuts.com.
